As President and Chief Executive Officer of The Morgan Company, Trey sets the firm’s overall strategy, leads the executive team, and oversees its investment portfolio. Under his leadership, The Morgan Company has established itself as a leading commercial real estate developer and operator across the Sunbelt.  He has guided more than $1 billion in acquisitions and developments, spanning a diverse range of asset classes including retail, medical office, shopping centers, and large-scale office projects. Trey also co-founded Sentinel Grove, the firm’s private equity and investment platform.

Prior to joining The Morgan Company, Trey worked at Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, D.C. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Northwestern University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he now serves on the Board of Visitors. Trey is a longtime member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has served in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as Chair of the Southern Division’s Governmental Relations Committee. He holds real estate licenses in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Beyond his professional work, Trey is active in the community, serving as a board member and past president of the Steve Smith Family Foundation and as an appointed member of the North Carolina Economic Development Accountability & Standards Committee. He and his wife, Kimber, have three children.
