George Morgan Jr

Founder

George is the Founder of the Morgan Company and brings almost five decades of experience in commercial real estate brokerage and development. Throughout his career, he has focused the firm’s efforts on small- and mid-sized office buildings, retail shopping centers, and freestanding retail projects, with a particular emphasis on repeat build-to-suit developments for national credit tenants such as Walgreens, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Wendy’s, KFC, and Bank of America.

A native of St. Louis, George earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University in 1968. After serving two years as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army—including a tour of duty in Vietnam—he relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1971, where he began building what would become the Morgan Company. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and North Carolina.

George has remained deeply involved in civic and industry leadership over the years. He previously served as a Governor-appointed member of the Board of Directors for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority and as Chairman of the Broward Workshop in South Florida. He is a member of the Florida Council of 100 and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science.
